It was never enough for me—being different, necessarily, to be noticed. Wherever I went, eyes followed me; compliments came unannounced. A gray transmission seemed to surround me.
So, I shared my idea with two friends—and they not only supported it, they challenged me: “If you’re going to do it, do something that no one has ever seen before.”
